A little secret: Greyhounds rule!

Mmmmissy and I were talking about dog breeds the other day, and it occurred to me that greyhounds are damn near perfect. (As far as dog owners go, Mmmmissy is damn near perfect, by the way.) The usual concerns -- very high energy, excessive barking, stinkiness, hair everywhere -- generally do not apply to greyhounds.

The dog trainer in me almost feels like I'm cheating by having a greyhound. (But Chuy the Chihuahua is there to challenge me 24/7, thanks so much.) At least once a week I find myself pimping rescued greyhounds, particularly to inexperienced dog owners.

Eeee, I can't wait to have more!

Is it December yet?

No, I'm not complaining that it's quite literally 100 degrees out today. I just can't wait till "Dog Whisperer" Cesar Millan comes back to the Lou on Dec. 2!

I don't care if it's the same damn lecture as last year. I love it!!!

So far, St. Louis is Cesar's only stop in the Midwest. I don't know what we did to get him two years in a row, pero estoy muy agradecida.
